18. What kinds of contests can I enter if I'm a beginner?

Most local club tournaments have special divisions for new archers. Ask the tournament director what divisions might best suit your skill level. In checking the scores from the previous tournament, you may find the average scores from your chosen beginner division. This will give you some idea of where you would have placed as practice scores using proposed tournament variables are fairly accurate in determining how you might fare.
